Guidelines

  • Make sure you use a microphone and test it out, or else you're going to spend your time chatting.
  • Link to SL Quick Start Guide in PDF by Linden Labs - tells you how to set up mic on page 4 and lots more to boot. Very useful guide.
  • If you're going to use speakers instead of a headset, mute your microphone when not speaking to avoid feedback.
  • To use slides, you will need to create Flickr sets. Please copy the URL of your sets below on this page.
  • If you prefer to upload your files and use them in a slide projector in world there is a 10L charge for each image texture. This is a very small amount in real US dollars, average exchange rate is about 265.00L = 1.00 US.
    • You can add money to your account via the the Second Life login page.
    • Once signed in use blue navigation bar to the left to locate Linden Dollar category. Use the last link, Linden Dollar Exchange, to buy some lindens.
    • We will need those files by wed. so that I have time to install and test the projector.
  • Don't forget to take pictures and to share them! At UD, we will write an article about the event and pics would be appreciated!
